Should I Stay or Should I Go Now

Here was my problem of the day. I walked in and someone was at the only urinal already. Normally I just go into a stall, but as soon as I made the left turn to go to the stall instead of the right turn to go to the urinal he left. Should I have gone back to the urinal or do I still go to a stall even though I only took one step towards the stall?

One of the main design problems with urinals is splashback. It occurs when the stream hits the back wall and splashes all over your pants and even worse, your legs when you wear shorts. What is the best way to prevent this? Where do you aim?
